Wageningen develops tool to measure flavor

Wageningen is researching techniques to measure the taste and flavor development of tomatoes, both while growing and after harvest. To this end, a number of different techniques are already under development, allowing whole crates to be 'scanned' at the same time and individual tomatoes to be screened by means of a so-called point measurement.

In the video below, Rick de Jong and colleagues, all researchers at WUR, talk about the research involving the whole chain, from technology to breeding and from trade to growers.
