Understanding the optimal relationship between HVAC and plant health

Dr. Nadia Sabeh, Founder and CEO of Dr. Greenhouse, will be speaking at industry conferences and symposiums focused on HVAC design and controls for growing plants indoors.

"As Controlled Environment Agriculture expands to provide locally grown food and medicinal crops, facility owners and designers are eager to understand the optimal relationship between HVAC equipment and controls and plant health. The end goal is productive and profitable indoor crop production," notes Dr. Sabeh, PE, LEED AP.

Dr. Sabeh will speak at the following conferences:

In addition to speaking at industry events, Dr. Sabeh recently was recently interviewed on the new energy code requirements in California and how indoor and greenhouse cannabis cultivators can stay compliant. Zach Mentz, a  senior editor of Cannabis Business Times, interviewed Dr. Sabeh on "What Indoor Growers and Greenhouse Operators Should Know About the 2022 California Energy Code." The webinar is available to view on demand.

Dr. Sabeh also led the ASABE (American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers" committee to publish EP653, "Heating, Ventilating, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) for Indoor Plant Environments without Sunlight." Jointly published by ASABE/ASHRAE and endorsed by ANSI (American National Standards Institute), the ANSI/ASABE/ASHRAE Engineering Practice is the first of its kind to describe the HVAC equipment used to manage commercial-scale controlled environment agriculture facilities that use sole-source electric lighting.
