Smaller strawberries due to CO2 shortage

Several strawberry growers have reported it recently: the CO2 is too expensive. On Facebook, Kessels Aardbeien also writes about it. The first fruits colored for the grower last week. The fruits are 'a bit smaller than normal' though, the grower warns. The reason is the unavailability of expensive CO2.

A Flemish grower also mentioned this recently.
