Daniel Wells, Associate Professor in Auburn University’s Department of Horticulture, teaches and focuses his research on “improving controlled environment agriculture in the southeast.” Daniel grew up in an agricultural research station, where he was exposed to this field at a young age. Since then, he has been delving into the world of hydroponics, aquaponics, and plant nutrition with a hunger to learn more. In this episode, Daniel discusses the research projects he has been working on and the unique environmental challenges that the southeast United States has when it comes to horticulture.
