Nathan Hall - Disruptive Packaging

Millions of boxes have been distributed throughout the Australian supply chain and export markets

Disruptive Packaging is doing something different in the packaging sector with Uniqcor®, a replacement for conventional wax-cardboard and polystyrene packaging that is made of a minimum of 65% natural elements, 100% waterproof, and is 100% closed loop recyclable. It also has drastically less Co2 emissions than conventional wax-cardboard and polystyrene in both production and in the recycling process.

Following the successful launch into the Australian table grape market in 2018, millions of boxes have been distributed throughout the Australian supply chain and export markets, including the United States and Asia, via both sea and airfreight.

“The printing on the boxes is of magazine quality giving great visuals. It also strengthens in Cold-Chain environments and retains integrity for long-range transport, including sea-freight,” said Nathan Hall from Disruptive Packaging.

The boxes are also suitable for packing in the field and can withstand vacuum and hydro cooling. They are being used for a whole range of fruit and vegetables.

Disruptive Packaging will be at Hort Connections in Brisbane from 6-8 June, where they will be showcasing the Uniqcor Octobins, Pallets, Beans, Corn, Esky replacements for Broccoli, Broccolini, and UNIQCOOL – Thermal replacement for EPS.
