In March 2022, Ron de Greeff will step down as the Staay Food Group's Venlo branch manager. This Dutch branch was formerly known as Staay-Van Rijn. The Food Group's management has recruited Michiel Geraedts as his successor.
De Greeff will resign after almost 23 years. He has reached retirement age. Ron de Greeff (66) started his career in the agro sector in 1979. He joined the then Langfruit's management team in 1999.
In 2013, the Staay Food Group acquired Langfruit/Van Rijn. De Greeff stayed in his position. He supervised the integration and ensured continuity with the customers. "The successful integration with Staay Food Group and the completion of the new Staay premises at Fresh Park Venlo are very memorable moments for me."

This is a good time to bid a fascinating industry and great colleagues and relationships farewell. I wish Michiel much success; I confidently hand over the baton to him."

"We'd like to thank him for his commitment through all these years. We think we've found a competent successor in Michiel Geraedts." Geraedts (43) used to be an agri-food sector consultant.
First at the Limburg Land and Horticulture Association (LLTB) in the Netherlands. Then at its subsidiaries, Arvalis and Roba. And then in an independent capacity. Before that, he held various commercial management positions at, among others, Royal Zon, WP Haton, and Flora Holland.
"I immediately clicked with the Staay Food Group's management. Everything reflects a dynamic, down-to-earth company. They have a fighter's mentality as well as room for development, fun, and entrepreneurship. I love the dynamics that characterize the fruit and vegetable sector. He will complement the Staay Venlo management team. As of March 2022, this team will consist of Geraedts, René Bressers, and Wim van der Staaij .
