On December 15, Peter Kalden was appointed as CFO of the Dutch tomato specialist RedStar. Kalden used to be CFO at MediaMarkt, a multinational electronics chain store. In his new broad-based role, Peter Kalden will lead the Finance and IT teams, and he will be the CEO and other Leadership Team members' sparring partner in developing and implementing RedStar's business strategy.

Peter's career began at ICI, after which he spent 22 successful years at MediaMarkt, Saturn Retail Group (MSRG). In his last position, he was CFO of Belgium and Luxembourg. Before that, Peter held positions including Ad interim CFO Sweden, Finance Director Belgium and Luxembourg, and Controlling Director Benelux. He started at Media Markt in 1999 when the first store opened in the Netherlands. Over the years, Peter has gained broad experience in Finance and IT and made a major contribution to the company.
