"Easy to clean Snapeg drip pin deserves more fame"

To provide growers with new drip tubes when they change crops or set up a new greenhouse, the machines at Power Plastics in Rijnsburg are running at full speed to automatically assemble drip tubes.

The machine fully automatedly inserts the pins, microtubes, and drippers into the punched tubing, for which Power Plastics has special pins in its range. "Strangely enough, these are much better known internationally than in the Netherlands," says Managing Director Maurice di Stefano.

"The Snapeg is a great plug-in pin, especially because the microtube can be easily removed for cleaning and disinfection. Especially in vegetable cultivation, we see that growers want to clean and disinfect everything every growing round. It makes a big difference in terms of labor if the microtube can be easily removed for cleaning, and it is also easy to replace the cutting tool after cleaning and disinfection. In this way, the cutting pin can be reused throughout the life of the hose, which is more sustainable and also saves costs."
