On 2 November 1981, Cees started his working life at Elektravon. He cycled to the company to start work as an apprentice electrician in a non-residential building. In time, 'chopping boxes' lost its charm for Cees, and horticulture beckoned.
Some 7 years later, Cees took the step to become a service engineer at Elektravon Tuinbouw. After gaining a great deal of experience in the field, Cees was given the opportunity to organize things from the office in 1997 as a project leader with managerial tasks, or as Cees puts it: "project leader, work planner, engineer, calculation, salesman, basically everything in the office."
With the growth of Elektravon Tuinbouw, later Elektravon-Haket, and the developments in the sector, Cees specialized further to become a commercial manager. In this role, Cees has been using his technical knowledge and experience to provide customers with sound and honest electrotechnical advice for years, but internally they also like to make use of Cees' expertise, as his colleagues note.
Cees: "Elektravon is my first and only employer: a company where I have been given great opportunities and good guidance, and where I still enjoy working. The freedom in my work, always busy with technology, the developments in technology, providing customers with really honest and good advice. I'll be here for a while." Although he jokingly adds that he recently started on his last new company car, since, in about five years, Cees will be able to enjoy his retirement. But first on to the 45th anniversary.
His colleagues congratulate Cees warmly. "To even more great years at Elektravon-Haket!"
