Canadian greenhouse celebrates 25 years as a family company

This fall, Windset Farms celebrates its 25th Anniversary. Started as a four-acre bell pepper greenhouse in Abbotsford BC, the company has grown exponentially since its inception in 1996, when the Newell family started with four acres.

Headquartered in Delta, BC, Windset Farms owns and operates millions of square feet of CEA high-tech facilities across western North America and provides fresh produce to five different countries. One of the key achievements over the past 25 years is that, while the size of the company may have grown, Windset is still family-owned and is currently one of the largest controlled environment agriculture (CEA) producers and marketers in North America.

"Windsets’ team has grown significantly over the years with numerous employees celebrating their 10, 15, and 20-plus year work anniversaries. Their dedication throughout the years is truly a testament to Windsets values, community, and culture. Whether they’ve been with the company since the start or have just joined the team; each and every employee’s input and dedication is valued. Employees truly are the heart and hands of Windset," the company stated.
