"There are no local suppliers of planting pots and clips. We had to purchase them in European or Asian countries, or in Moscow and Saint Petersburg," the team with NK Lotus says. They started collaborating with the Russian company NK Termo, which started producing polymer cucumber clips.
The executive director of NK Termo company, Mr. Alexander Vigovsky, explained how, after their request, molds have been purchased and equipment has been adjusted for plastic production.
"We have started producing several kinds of clips applied in greenhouses. There has never been such a production facility before us in the Far East, but thanks to NK Lotos, we were able to make it work," shared Mr. Vigovsky. "Earlier, we delivered planting pots to the same enterprise."
On a land area of 78.6 hectares, NK Lotus grows organic tomatoes, cucumbers, and herbs. The new enterprise has made it possible to partially satisfy demand for fresh vegetable products in Primorsky Krai, where the greenhouse is located.
"With the producer being located next to us, we save on logistics and can always visit the factory personally if needed. We aim at purchasing about 60 million clips and over several thousand pots per year. These are good volumes with which the producer can gain profit," underlined the general manager of NK Lotus, Ms. Tamara Mulenkova.
