Dutch grower wants to extract more geothermal heat

Hoogweg Paprika Nurseries, the Netherlands, has been heating its greenhouses with geothermal heat since the winter of 2018/2019. The grower with a growing acreage that now exceeds one hundred hectares wants to extract more heat. Therefore, new drillings will start next month. Preparations are in full swing, as can be seen in a video on LinkedIn.

A total of five wells are being drilled - two production wells and three injection wells. If all goes according to plan, the new wells should be put into operation next summer.
