Matt Roy named VP food service for Revol Greens

Revol Greens announced the hiring of produce industry veteran Matt Roy as Vice President of Food Service. Roy brings more than 25 years of fresh produce and controlled environment agriculture (CEA) experience to the role.

“Revol has a coast-to-coast network of regional greenhouses producing organic lettuces at scale, and Matt’s experience with supply chain complexities will help us address the challenges that come with our business model,” said Tom Thompson, Chief Revenue Officer of Revol Greens.

Prior to joining Revol Greens, Roy was most recently a Vice President at Tanimura & Antle, where he led business development for greenhouse operations and oversaw the company’s CEA strategy. He also spent six years in a variety of executive roles at US Foods, where his responsibilities included CEA strategy leadership. Roy has served on a number of industry committees such as the United Fresh Wholesaler Distributor Board, the Southeast Produce Council’s Education Committee & Board of Directors, as well as the Indoor Ag Con Board of Advisors. He is a graduate of the United Fresh Produce Industry Leadership Program: Class 24.

“I have been a longtime proponent and advocate about the controlled environment agriculture space, and the ability to grow a quality, sustainable product closer to the end-user is only going to become more important,” said Roy.
