The cosmetic product NzymRugo, a hand cleanser from the Dutch producer Natural Plant Nutrition International (NPNI), was patented this summer.
The patent was obtained after research at Wageningen University & Research and a laboratory in Italy. Roel Huisman of NPNI says the studies showed that all three ingredients in the product combined make it a unique product. "Tests showed that the omission of one of the ingredients reduced the effect compared to the effect of all three ingredients together. It is proof for us that we have found a unique composition of natural ingredients that together have the desired cleansing effect. The fact that we have been able to patent it makes us stronger.
