An Australian couple got a huge surprise when their little vegetable garden delivered a monster zucchini the size of their newborn baby.
First-time growers Cassandra Hill and her husband Geoff harvested the colossal courgette from a backyard veggie garden at their northern New South Wales property earlier this year.
Tipping the scales at a whopping 6kg, the garden gargantuan weighed nearly twice as much as their then nine-week-old daughter, Vienna.
“I couldn’t believe the size of it,” Cassandra told.
The couple are adamant there was no secret fertiliser used, it was simply a fluke first time harvest.
Cassandra said she “couldn’t believe how much we could make out of it,” saying she shared the giant vegetable with family and friends and to fill lunch boxes.
And she shared some tips for any other Aussies wanting to grow a monster zucchini of their own.
