European Commission seeks views on the CAP’s impact on knowledge exchange and advisory activities

The European Commission launched  a public consultation on the common agricultural policy (CAP)’s impact on knowledge exchange and advisory activities. It will be opened for a period of 12 weeks, until 2 February 2021.

This public consultation will gather information and feedback from stakeholders such as farmers, national and regional authorities, researchers and the wider public, which will feed into an overall evaluation. The evaluation aims to determine whether the CAP objective of ‘fostering knowledge transfer and innovation in agriculture, forestry and rural areas’ is being met and whether the relevant measures are effective, efficient, coherent, relevant and provide EU added value.
