Second Season Products of Afghan Farah greenhouses marketed

In Afghanistan, produce has been marketed that was grown in a governmental support program. It's the second season that the products of the Farah greenhouses were marketed. The program was launched as one of the projects of the Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock in Farah province.

The Ministry of Agriculture project has built 182 large commercial greenhouses for farmers and 113 small greenhouses for women farmers in Farah province. These greenhouses have been built for 290 families in Khak-e-Safid and Posht-e-Rood districts. These families produce three seasons of these greenhouses annually.

The purpose of building these greenhouses is to get more crops from less land and increase the income of farmers. Also, the introduction of valuable agricultural products that cost less and less effort than reduction of poppy cultivation, is another goal of the construction of these greenhouses.
