Afghanistan: Agriculture ministry builds 40 greenhouses in Farah

The Afghan Ministry of Agriculture has established 40 greenhouses for local farmers through one of its projects in the Pashturud and Khak-e-Safid districts of Farah province.

Each of these greenhouses is built on an area of 301 square meters of land.

Through this project, the Ministry of Agriculture, at the same time as completing the construction of these greenhouses, also distributed 22 planting and harvesting equipment packages to the new beneficiaries.

These packages include a 600 Watt solar panel, solar water pump, modified seeds, sprays, greenhouses collection pannier, chemical and animal fertilizers, handcarts and plastic.

So far, the Ministry of Agriculture has built a total of 205 greenhouses for farmers in Pashturod and Khak-e-Safid districts through this project.

The intention of building these greenhouses is to promote valuable agricultural products, raise the level of knowledge of farmers, harvest more than less land, and grow greenhouses crops in three seasons in a year, so that farmers can earn money by cultivating halal and avoiding haram crops.
