Leafy Greens Party Election with philanthropic twist: Voting open today

WP Rawl, grower, processor and shipper of leafy greens, will host an online “election” for The Leafy Greens Party today Tuesday, October 20th. Maintaining their commitment to educate consumers on eating fresh, wholesome ingredients like leafy greens, the company’s focus is dedicated to providing consumers with the tools to incorporate fresh leafy greens into their everyday lifestyle.

The Leafy Greens Party is a light hearted spin on the election year with two leafy greens candidates in the running; Collard/Kale and Mustard/Turnip. Each candidate’s platform shares meaningful information and tips around leafy greens and lifestyle.

Collard/Kale’s platform is centered around self-care and grocery planning with the motto, “It’s not about getting it 'right,' it’s about getting better.” Their mission is to provide simple, practical information about self-care and grocery planning.

Mustard/Turnip’s program is focused on the daily, nagging question for most people, “to eat or not to eat.” They suggest mindful eating as a wonderful way to enjoy, celebrate food and become at peace and confident with food consumption, especially during the holidays.

“The Leafy Greens Party was created to bring positivity and fun to the current election year,” said Ashley Rawl, vice president of sales, marketing and product development. “With all of the great campaigning the candidates have done, we are hoping their platforms inspire shoppers to live a fresher life, optimize their overall wellness, and feel more confident making dishes with leafy greens in their own kitchens.”

To participate, click here and cast your vote. Voting begins Tuesday, October 20th and is open until Tuesday, October 27th. Each vote cast in The Leafy Greens Party election will help support two non-profit organizations, Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and The American Red Cross. Once all of the votes are in and tallied the company will match $1.00 per one vote and split the total donation among the two non-profits. Voting will be capped at $20,000.
