Kazakhstan: Greenhouses worth 21 billion tenge to appear in Shymkent

In Shymkent (Kazakhstan), they began to build greenhouses in the agro-industrial zone. According to the information, the construction of the facilities is planned in two stages. At the first stage in 2020-2021, an industrial greenhouse complex will be built on an area of 30 hectares.

"The project worth 9.4 billion tenge is being implemented by such investors as Taza Onim, AIDI Agro Trade, Kolesnikov, ASM Corporation, High Yield, Tatybaeva, Kaz Agro Trade, Nur Alem Agro," the message says.

In 2022-2025, they plan to implement the second stage of the project on 60 hectares. According to the government agency, the total cost of the project is 21 billion tenge. In general, after the launch of all greenhouses, they want to create more than 1,000 new jobs.

In particular, the construction of 6 greenhouses was expected for 6.3 billion tenge.

The creation of agricultural Shymkent will cost 1.5 billion tenge. Infrastructure construction was scheduled to begin this year. According to the forecasts of the state structure, 500 thousand tonnes of agricultural products per year will be processed in the zone. They want to sell finished products not only in the domestic market, but also in the countries of near and far abroad.

The agroindustrial zone is located in the area of the trade and logistics centre of the Abay district. The area is 136 hectares.
