The Turkish city of Erzincan is known for its vegetable production, and the greenhouse production areas in the city are expected to surpass 50 hectares with recent investments.
Most of the greenhouses are built through the state-incentive program which funds 75% of the greenhouses' construction costs. The main product grown in the greenhouses in the city is tomato, followed by cucumber and zucchini.
Government officials note that the support program will continue to fund greenhouse investments in the area and add that they expect the greenhouse production areas in the city to increase much more in the near future.
