The three Dutch companies Atlantic Growers, Zuidgeest Growers and Vitapep were already closely linked. Now this cooperation has been further strengthened and the companies are merging into one company under the Frestia banner.
The management of the newly founded Frestia company consists of Wim Zuidgeest (general), Marc Zuidgeest (operational) and the new board members Frank Barendse (financial) and Patrick Franken (marketing and sales).

Growth strategy
Therefore, the family name Zuidgeest is not used anymore. But the culture of the family business will certainly remain the same. Then why this step? Wim Zuidgeest: “With more attention and specialism in the company, we are able to perform even better, both internally and towards customers. In this way we can better guarantee our continuity and associated growth strategy.”
Frestia's focus is on the cultivation of specialties in bell peppers and tomatoes. "High-quality taste and overall quality are always at our core here."
In order to realize that ambition, the company has modern glass greenhouses in both the Netherlands and Portugal, so that quality products can be grown and packaged all year round.
Frestia will remain affiliated with producers' cooperative Harvest House and also Vitapep will continue to exist as consumer brand.
