Producing consistently premium quality, high-end tomatoes and soft fruit requires diligence, technological commitment and an operational prowess that is nothing new to Lancashire-based Flavourfresh Salads Limited in their 23-year history.
What is new, however, is the recent Head of Operations appointment of David Holding who joined the Flavourfresh management team this August 2020.
Operational leadership and continuous improvement
Overseeing the smooth and efficient running of the Operations function across four sites, Holding will be sharing his time and expertise gained in strategic and managerial roles, most recently at Bakkavor Foods. His experience at a senior level in the food industry draws on demonstrable commercial career successes in Operational Leadership, Continuous Improvement and Consultancy.
Managing Director Charmay Prout and her 300-strong Flavourfresh team have many established operational initiatives and in the pipeline for David to sink his teeth into.

David, father of two and a keen Liverpool FC supporter, will be based at Flavourfresh Head Office at the Aldergrove nursery. Speaking on his new appointment:
