Russia: First cucumbers planted in 12 ha greenhouse in Kurgan region

New greenhouse complex Martynovsky in the Kurgan region in Russia has started planting the first cucumbers, reported the regional department of agriculture.

The first batch of seedlings has been planted in March. Quite soon, the agricultural complex will harvest the first crops and once the enterprise reaches full productivity, the capacity would comprise 15,000 tons of produce per year.

Agricultural complex Martynovsky is the first and only greenhouse enterprise growing greenery and vegetables in Kurgan region. The acreage of the complex covers 12 ha, the headcount would reach 360 associates.
