Source ToBRFV contamination France unclear

Further to our article in yesterday’s newsletter on ToBRFV being found in a tomato greenhouse in France, we would like to make it absolutely clear that the reference to ‘the plants being propagated in the UK’ and plants being ‘received from a British plant grower’ does not suggest or imply in any way whatsoever that the source of the infection was a British plant grower/propagator.

The same goes for the seed the plants were propagated from. As published, the source of the contamination is unclear and one of the hardest parts about fighting ToBRFV is that it can spread easily and via numerous sources. Read more about it here, here and here.

At the moment the French government gives clarity on the source of the contamination, we will provide an update on this matter.
