Turkish greenhouse construction company goes international

Serasan Greenhouse Construction company President Hasan Yildirim had started his career in 1994 as a worker in an iron and steel manufacturer and now he is the owner of one of the fastest-growing greenhouse construction companies in Turkey.

After attending numerous courses and training programs about greenhouse production and hydroponic production, Mr. Yildirim has established his own business for greenhouse construction and installation in 2002. With rapid growth, the company slowly became a massive production facility in Antalya Organized Commercial Zone. The company built a new production facility in Sandikli in 2016 where they domestically produce greenhouse construction materials and has been exporting these materials to other countries and contribute to the national economy.

Hasan Yildirim: “We can manufacture a wide selection of greenhouse materials at any requested dimensions. We have 80 people working in our production facility and our production capacity is around 45.000 tons of steel greenhouse construction annually. Currently, we are exporting around 85% of our production and our annual turnover is approximately 50 million USD.

"90% of the greenhouses we have built are vegetable greenhouses. In Turkey, we have set up high-tech greenhouses in cities such as Izmir, Manisa, Aydin, Denizli, Antalya, Afyon, Konya, Usak and Kutahya. Additionally, we export greenhouse construction materials to countries such as Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Iraq, Qatar, Kuwait, Russia, and Northern Macedonia. 90% of our abroad operations is building tomato greenhouses.

"We want to increase our production capacity significantly in the upcoming years and our goal is to penetrate into the European market as well.”
