Land purchased from neighbor Kwekerij Nieuw Honsel

Netherlands: Bell pepper nursery Overgaag buys 5 hectares of land in Westland

Bell pepper nursery Kwekerij Overgaag, after purchasing an existing nursery on the Nieuweweg in Honselersdijk in 2016 and converting it for the cultivation of peppers, purchased 5 hectares of land from (neighbor) Kwekerij Nieuw Honsel.

The current buildings will be demolished at the beginning of 2020, after which Overgaag will start building over 4 hectares of greenhouse. There will also be a heat connection to Trias Westland.

With this purchase, the location on the Nieuweweg will be expanded to 12.5 hectares. In total Overgaag continues to grow to 28 hectares of greenhouse, spread over 3 locations in the Westland.

The growth is focused on the increased market demand from Harvest House and the optimization of the location on the Nieuweweg in Honselersdijk.

Kwekerij Overgaag is a family business specializing in the cultivation of red peppers. Since 2019, the management consists of Wouter, Gerrie and John Overgaag. Yeald from Naaldwijk has supervised the entire process on behalf of Kwekerij Overgaag.
