CIOPORA congress, November 4-5, Amsterdam

Ins and outs of IP rights for plants in Russia

A Workshop on Intellectual Property (IP) for Plants is being organized by CIOPORA (International Association of Breeders) in Amsterdam from 4-5 November. Attention will be paid to developments in the field of the registration of plant varieties, trade names and grower’s rights. Various IP specialists will share information about their specific field in the workshop.

A special part of the program is the workshop ‘IP rights for plants in Russia’ by Anna Fischer, lawyer at Juralink. Juralink is a Dutch office that has been providing legal services for over 20 years with a focus on Russia. Juralink has offices in Russia (Moscow, St. Petersburg), in Amsterdam and in Cologne.

Anna is an expert in the field of the protection of plant varieties in Russia. Her office has already assisted many international growers. They work closely with the authorities (Gossort, Rosselkhoznadzor, the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Control, the Ministry of Agriculture of the R.F., Rospatent and the Agriculture Attaché of the Dutch Embassy in Moscow).
