Flandria market information:

"Clear tomato supply, prices rising in Belgium"

In Belgium, the price for lettuce heads and other lettuce varieties is falling. This is because the sunny weather is on its way out. There is ample supply of these vegetables.

There is a clear supply of tomatoes, and the prices for these products are on the rise. Mild autumn temperatures are making for a higher demand for tomatoes. Courgettes are becoming more expensive. Cauliflowers are still experiencing fluctuating prices with very little supply.

The cucumber supply is dwindling, and, as a result, prices are doubling. The supply will fall even further in the coming weeks. There are sufficient bell peppers, of all colors, at Belgian auctions. These products are selling at consumer-friendly prices.

For this time of year, there is enough chicory, with stable prices. There is a varying supply of lamb's lettuce. This irregular supply is causing varying prices. Leeks volumes are slowly increasing. They are also selling at average prices for this time of year.

There is a clear supply of aubergines at unchanging prices. Red cabbage remains expensive while white cabbage prices are more stable. The number of green cabbages is climbing, and prices are high for this time of year.
