UK: New event will outline the next phase of the Transforming Food Production programme

Expression of Interest registration is now open for an event on Thursday, 3rd October 2019 in London which will outline the next phase of the Transforming Food Production programme. If you are not able to attend in person, you can also register to join the simultaneous webcast.

The Transforming Food Production programme
The Industrial Strategy sets out Grand Challenges to put the UK at the forefront of the industries of the future, ensuring that the UK takes advantage of major global changes, improving people’s lives and the country’s productivity. Transforming Food Production is recognised as a key driver of Clean Growth under the Industrial Strategy.

The £90 million Transforming Food Production programme aims to integrate current world-class UK capabilities (digital technologies, artificial intelligence, engineering, biological, environmental and social sciences) into precision approaches both within new novel production systems and traditional agricultural systems to target net zero emissions.

The event will be split into two sessions, with the morning focussed on the next phase of the Transforming Food Production programme and the afternoon providing an opportunity to attend briefings for forthcoming competitions for Future Food Production Systems and International Research with China.

Participants are welcome to attend both morning and afternoon sessions or just one session, or to join by webcast.
