Australian grower to build another 16 ha in the coming five years

Australian grower P’Petual has been featured on Everyday Gourmet with Justine Schofield.

The Buckland Park-based producer grows eggplants, mini cucumbers, and several varieties of tomatoes that are sold in many supermarkets across Australia. They’re actually one of Australia’s largest greenhouse growers.

In the video, Nick Goode of P'Petual also talks about their expansion plans: "We began with just 2 hectares of greenhouses, and we've now grown to 12 hectares. We've got plans to build another 16 hectares of new glasshouses over the coming five years."

Nick also says that he expects robotics to become more mainstream in horticulture. "I think over the next ten years, we'll see a lot more of that. It's exciting to be a part of that change, and that evolution in how we grow food."

The video was filmed inside the recently installed glasshouse supplied by Powerplants Australia & Apex Greenhouses. The project was completed in January 2019.
