Karen Mapusua has been unanimously appointed as IFOAM - Organics International's newest Vice President.
Karen will assume the role straightaway as the successor to current Vice President and Executive Board Member, Frank Eyhorn. In her new capacity, Karen will serve alongside President Peggy Miars and help spearhead the ongoing work of the 2017-2020 World Board to grow the global organic marketplace, communicate the health benefits of organic, train organic leaders, and facilitate capacity-building across the globe.
Karen has more than 13 years experience in the organic sector. She has contributed to the development of both the Pacific Organic Standard, the world's first organic standard containing requirements for climate change and mitigation, and the Pacific Organic and Ethical Trade Community.
