Canada celebrates National Organic Week

It’s a special year in Canada. This year, National Organic Week runs from September 9th to 15th and celebrates its 10th anniversary.

Organic Alberta is an organizer for National Organic Week in Canada. Albertans are dedicated to creating a strong, sustainable, and united organic community in Alberta and across Canada. Organic Week brings farmers, producers, retailers, and organic shoppers together nation-wide.

During Organic Weeks, questions will be answered like what are genetically modified organisms (GMOs) and why do they matter? What’s the difference between conventional beef and organic beef? Who keeps track of organic food to make sure it’s grown or raised to the exacting standards as set out by the Canadian Organic Standards?
