Prerequisites should lead to further growth as a marketing cooperative

Landgard: Changes in the management and the structures

As part of the strategy of cooperative marketing 4.0 "Rooted regionally. Consolidated nationally. Growing internationally", Landgard sets a new course for the future. The goal is to provide sustained added value in a challenging environment with professional structures for customers and member companies. In this context, Landgard has now appointed Melanie Schneider to start as Managing Director of Landgard Service on 01.09.2019.

In addition to the structures in the service units of Landgard Service, there are also changes in the fruit & vegetables division. Here, too, the goal is to pool competencies, to further streamline the organizational structure and to create clear operational responsibilities in order to provide customers with sustainable, optimal services, while further reducing costs.

From 2020, the Fruit & Vegetables Division will concentrate its sales activities in the West, North, South and East of Germany. Landgard West and Walter Pott are operating in the west, Landgard Nord in the north, Landgard Ost in the east and Landgard Süd from Landgard Kehl, Magli and Noël, and Landgard München, all working for their respective strategic customers.

These core sales regions are accompanied by individual sourcing companies such as Landgard Espana, Landgard Overseas or Landgard Bio. In order to better integrate the Landgard Producer Organization (EO) and the sales units in the future, Labinot Elshani will be more involved in the coordination and overall coordination of all sales activities, in addition to his responsibilities in Sales Management and in the West region.

Labinot Elshani

For these tasks, Labinot Elshani is on the coordination side by Bernd Henschel and Marisa Barth. Mr. Henschel will be responsible for the administrative issues in the EO and the sales units of the core region West. Marisa Barth will be responsible for organizational matters as part of her function as assistant of the chief representative of the fruit and vegetables division.

To support Labinot Elshani, Thomas Schlich will also be appointed to the management of Landgard West. He will be responsible for the tasks in close cooperation with Labinot Elshani. Günther Hach Amar is leaving the management of Landgard West.

Mr. Hach Amar will be responsible for the 'packing station' theme, functioning as division manager. This will initially be focused on the Roisdorf site, after which it will be progressively rolled out at the other Landgard locations.

As of September 1, 1919, the Regional Sales Department at Landgard West will be managed by Kerstin Hartmann and Alexander Scheufen.

As of 01.01.2020, responsibility for fruit distribution will also be redefined.

At Landgard Bio, management will be stengthened by Dominique Noël on 01.09.2019. This will work in connection with the reorientation, expansion and closer integration with all Landgard sales units. Mr. Noël will be responsible for the management of Landgard Bio together with Mr. Fuhs.

On 01.09.2019, Miroslav Milkov and Stefan Streuer will be appointed to the management of Landgard Frischeservice in personal union with their current responsibilities as Managing Directors of Fresh Logistics System GmbH and the strategic corporate logistics of Landgard. The previous managing directors Günter Hach Amar and Ali Sadatmir will leave the management in the near future. Mr. Sadatmir will be the head of department for the operational area and Mr. Christoph Lindlar will be the head of department for the administrative department of Landgard Frischeservice. Landgard Frischeservice is a company that provides services for selected customers in the field of intralogistics, QA, disposition and transport logistics. With these reorganization, there will be greater integration with Landgard's existing logistics expertise.

Requirements for long-term growth
"With these personnel decisions and structural changes, we will create conditions for further successful growth as a marketing cooperative in the service areas and the Fruit & Vegetables Division. With common sense, ambition and a lot of heart, we will further develop the right strategy and consistent implementation of Landgard in the interests of the member companies and customers. In this context, there will also be structural and personnel decisions in the flowers and plants division as of 01.01.2020," said Armin Rehberg, CEO of Landgard eG.
