Video: Inside a Russian vertical farm

iFarm is a Russian vertical farm company, providing technology for growing fresh greens locally, year-round. With full process automation, distant microclimate management from a single control center, a possibility to grow a varied assortment of plants indoors, iFarm solutions are aimed at creating an efficient instrument for urban farming. The below video provides a look behind the scenes at the company.

In the video, iFarm explains that vertical farms use 90% less water and 25% less electric energy than traditional greenhouses. Apart from showing strawberry cultivation, rucola is another crop that's highlighted: 30,000 pieces of rucola are grown over 200 square meters per month.
