PB tec, supplier of electrical, water technology and automation for international horticulture, has established a new company in the United States. The company from Maasdijk annually realizes various projects in this part of the world. The new branch is a logical consequence of this.
"In 2019 we are already going to realize five projects in North America", says director Koen Brabander. He even foresees further growth: "From our new location we can further expand our share in the international horticultural sector. Moreover, we are now able to react faster. That is very important in our industry."
America vs Netherlands
PB tec, trade name of PB Techniek, has a greater impact in North America than in the Netherlands. The company responds to the challenges related to the growth of the world population in the area of food production. "Efficiency and sustainability in food production are becoming increasingly important, particularly in greenhouse horticulture," according to Koen Brabander.
"In order to guarantee food security, far-reaching improvements in food supply will have to be achieved worldwide. Production will grow and higher technical requirements will be imposed on the use of resources such as water and energy. Our new office in North America responds to this development and gives an extra boost to our growth ambitions. A great next step after the takeover of the horticultural arm of Armada Electrical Services in Canada."
