March 13-15, Ho Chi Minh City

Holland Lounge at HortEx Vietnam 2019 exhibition

During the upcoming second edition of HortEx Vietnam the organisers will host a Holland Lounge in cooperation with the Netherlands Embassy in Vietnam.

Dates for HortEx Vietnam 2019 are set from 13-15 March and the exhibition will take place once again in the Saigon Exhibition & Convention Center (SECC).

The Holland Lounge can accommodate a limited number of Dutch companies with a business seat and small product presentation. Participation in the Holland Lounge is an excellent opportunity for companies whom are interested in exploring the fast growing Vietnamese market and have a presence at the exhibition but without having an individual stand.

Companies, which are interested, are advised to contact the organisers as soon as possible as the number of available places for favourable conditions within the Holland Lounge are limited.

Dutch companies that have already registered for HortEx Vietnam 2019 include: Agrico, BVB Substrates, Cyklop International, Dalsem Complete Greenhouse Projects, Desch Plantpak, Enza Zaden, Gakon Horticultural Projects, Greefa, Koppert Biological Systems, NPI Waterstorage, Rijk Zwaan, Royal Brinkman and Sercom International.

Vietnam is the fastest growing economy in the ASEAN region (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) with an average GDP growth of 7.5% per year.

The middle and affluent class (MAC) in Vietnam will double in size between 2014 and 2020, from 12 million to 33 million. MAC consumers, whose income is from VND15 million (US$714) or more a month, are also spreading out to other provinces and cities.

Vietnam, with a population of some 95 million people, is a huge emerging market and the country‘s exports of Fruits & Vegetables have enjoyed strong growth in the past years, with an average rate of 26.5 per cent a year; from $439 million in 2009 to $3.5 billion in 2017.

Furthermore Vietnam has the potential to become one of the world’s largest flower exporters according to experts.

HortEx Vietnam enables participants to meet key decision-makers, strengthen valuable contacts with customers and partners and explore the potential of an exciting growth market.
