The Dutch Greenhouse Delta foundation will start the new year with four new partners. The companies Allport Horti Logistics, Codema, Gakon and Van der Ende Group signed the agreement on December 19. The foundation focuses on knowledge sharing and cooperation within the greenhouse horticulture sector to tackle complex large-scale projects and issues concerning food in growing megacities.

Allport Horti Logistics, Van der Ende Group, Gakon and Codema sign the agreement with Hein van der Sande, chairman of the Dutch Greenhouse Delta Foundation.

Eric Egberts, CEO Dutch Greenhouse Delta: "The participation of these four companies creates a broader delegation of horticultural life in our foundation. Concrete plans for how the business community will jointly market Dutch horticulture as a brand internationally will increasingly take shape. We are already working on a project in Jiashan, China for the construction of the Sino-Dutch High-Tech Agriculture Park. Additionally, in Uttar Pradesh, India a letter of intent has been signed for the development of a horticulture expertise center."

Lex van der Ende (Managing Director Van der Ende Group): "It's a wonderful initiative that we are happy to participate in. And it's in line with the tradition that the Netherlands is seen worldwide as a specialist in the field of water management. We believe we have everything in-house to play a crucial role here. This of course not without our loyal partners. When we manage to break the proverbial Chinese walls between our companies and join forces, we are able to have a real impact on the global challenges in the area of food, energy and water."

Twenty companies are now partners of the Dutch Greenhouse Delta Foundation. There is strategic cooperation with the two branch organizations, AVAG and LTO Glaskracht, which together represent more than a hundred companies in greenhouse horticulture.
