As the world's largest fruit producer, China ranks first among the 13 countries that produce more than 10 million tons of fruits. Nowadays, more and more high-quality fruits are coming into the Chinese market, and China comes as the most powerful high-quality fruit consumer in the world, which also affects the production layout of China's domestic fruit business.
As a professional greenhouse manufacturer and exporter, Sangreen started to expand their business to invest in large-scale fresh fruit production in 2016. Till now, Sangreen has invested in two main fresh-fruit farms in China with a total area of 550 ha. Both farms are focusing on high-class fresh grapes and cherries production. Thanks to independently-designed models of energy-saving greenhouses with root-limited cultivation technology, Sangreen could offer year-around supply to the Chinese consumer.
Sangreen’s main farm is located in Jiangsu Province with total of 350 ha under a US$1.150 million investment. Now, it is the largest fresh fruit farm in China. The farm is constructed in 3 phases. The 1st phase with 80 hectares has been already completed, 50 ha for grape production and 30 ha for cherry production, which can reach a yield as high as 2,300kg/1,000sqm for grape and 1,500kg/1,000sqm for cherry with A class quality. The main variety of their grade is “Shine-Muscat”, which is seedless, very sweet with a high sugar content of level 18. Now the 2nd phase with a total area of 120 ha is under construction, which is planned to be completed on June, 2019.
Furthermore, Sangreen is also working on some other new farms in different regions, and it will make them reach another level of their market share, and provide more high quality fresh fruits to the Chinese market with reasonable price.
