In June, Van der Waay started with the construction of the new business premises. Meanwhile, the work is progressing steadily. The finishing of the outer facades is in full swing and the workshop halls are nearing completion. At the moment, lots of work is being done on the finishes of the offices and canteen.
Greenhouse builder Havecon has also started the construction of the test center. Glass producer Saint-Gobain Cultilene supplies the Albarino horticultural glass for the greenhouse roof. "They are going to use the greenhouse roof for testing of mechanical cleaning and application of coatings," Van der Waay explains. "Cultilene continuously invests in innovation and is constantly looking for new solutions for an optimal cultivation result."
The plan is that the contractors will have completed their work by the end of 2018 and that Van der Waay will be occupying the new building in the first quarter of 2019.
