Jordanian delegation visits Koppert

A trade delegation from Jordan visited Koppert Biological Systems at its headquarters in the Netherlands last week. The delegation was led by the Jordan Minister of Agriculture & Environment, Ibrahim Al Shahahdeh. The delegation consists of The Ministry of Agriculture & Environment, The National Agriculture Research Center (NARC), and the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ). Together these parties are looking to improve the agriculture sector in Jordan.

Reducing the use of harmful pesticides and meeting the market demands on MRLs are core elements in the public-private projects the Netherlands is going to implement in Jordan in the coming years.

During the visit Koppert presented the biological solutions and products which are currently used and under development in the Jordanian agriculture market with Nabat Agricultural & Trading Co., the distributor of Koppert products in this country. Koppert and the delegation agreed to collaborate in promoting sustainable solutions in Jordan.

The visit follows an earlier visit in March by pioneering Jordan growers in horticulture and agriculture who are looking to improve their quality and yield. They visited Koppert because of their interest in forging more collaboration with Koppert and promoting sustainable solutions.
