Jos Veugen, Veugen High Care:

"Check whether no invisible dirt is left behind after disinfection"

Growers rarely whether the greenhouse is really clean, after the contractor has paid a visit to disinfect the greenhouse. Jos Veugen, Veugen High Care, advises his customers to do so anyway. Jos: "I appreciate the trust. And we are not ashamed either. But if I were a grower, I would have had prints taken by a third party. The risks are great. We're talking about invisible dirt. It is not possible to judge that with the naked eye."

A few people do have prints taken. In some sectors, this is mandatory. For example, sampling is regularly done in the poultry sector. Jos is in favor of such an obligation. "It is good to call in a third, independent party to ensure this. This way you can also guarantee the quality of contractors. The starting point for a new cultivation must be a clean environment. This will benefit the cultivation."

Also disinfect canteen and office space
Jos also advises customers to disinfect the canteen and office space. People walk through the entire company. An infection might be lurking. Jos: "Why would you take the risk? Start a new season... with clean business premises."
