The Canadian Greenhouse Conference, one of Canada’s most important horticultural events, kicks off next week in Niagara Falls Ontario and Kam’s Growers Supply, long time conference sponsor and exhibitor, will be there in full force. The Kam’s team of technical sales representatives view this as one of their biggest customer events of the year. Over a decade old, Kam’s Growers Supply is well known as supplier of fertilizers, PGRs and crop protection products to the greenhouse ornamental and veg markets.
Helping growers with complimentary products
A relatively new addition to the Kam’s product lineup is the Hermadix coatings, shading agents and removers which help growers attain the best greenhouse climate conditions for their crops. Removit, Hermadix’s proprietary remover, ensures the removal of shade paint and coatings more easily than competitive products. Hermadix products are imported from the Netherlands and to celebrate the addition to their product portfolio, Kam’s will be giving away a Dutch bike flown in from the Netherlands at the Canadian Greenhouse Conference trade show.
Integrated approach
“Growers have expanded their crop protection products beyond standard chemical controls. With the increased use of biologicals and biocides alongside traditional chemistries, an integrated, programmed approach is paramount. Our sales representatives work alongside growers to help select the best products to ensure a high quality crop”, says Julie Fordyce, co-owner of Kam’s Growers.
Expanding
The “Kam” in Kam’s Growers Supply is Kameron Fordyce, founder of the Guelph based company. Started in 2005, the company has grown into a team of 17 friendly, focused technical sales and customer service professionals. Two years ago, Kam’s acquired a second location in Kingsville (Leamington area). “It enables us to better service our customers in that area. We work collaboratively with them and are constantly learning about the challenges they face”, explains Julie. “Growing isn’t easy. But we work hard to help make it a little easier.”
