In September TomatoesNZ submitted on the government’s “improvements to the New Zealand emissions trading scheme” consultation.
They agreed that improvements to the scheme are needed to provide certainty and transparency, and supported opportunities for New Zealand to transition to a net zero emissions economy while ensuring that the impacts on domestic vegetable producers were understood and managed.
