Public Auction former Brown Coir Export properties

In Sri Lanka, a public auction has been announced of on of the properties of Brown Coir Export. The company is still in production from the other locations and is currently working through a restructure program with full intentions to continue their business. They will inform all customers ASAP about this.

A couple of years ago Brown Coir gained ground fast as one of the new suppliers of coir growing media in the horticultural industry. Their products, branded as BrownGrow and developed with input from growers worldwide, were praised for the water holding capacity and consistent quality. However, water was exactly the thing that got the company into trouble: extensive rains has had an effect on the raw materials, thus affecting the company as well.
