To promote the bell pepper, today, Saturday and Sunday, a mini pageant will tour through Amsterdam. Three transport bikes, equipped with giant bell peppers, have to draw attention from the public. Flyers are handed out to inform the public of the many uses the bell pepper has to offer, particularly a high vitamin C content. Purpose of the promotion is to get tourists to take pictures and share those on social media.

The promotion is organised by P8, a cooperation that includes about 90% of the Dutch growers.
