Dutch herb grower heats without gas

Calor Holland BV has won the contract for supplying and installing the greenhouse heating installation of the new building at Van Vugt Kruiden in Ridderkerk (Netherlands). The installation also heats a demo greenhouse and the office spaces outside of the greenhouse.

Jean-Pierre Schenkeveld: "At the start of the engineering assignment, the word 'Sustainability' was in capitals at the top. The client wanted to realize a heating installation without the use of fossil fuels, anticipating the Energy Transition 2050. We designed an installation in which the solar panels and the residual heat of the cooling cells, in combination with a sophisticated design of low temperature networks, are integrated into a combined LT and HT heating system. As a young company, we are very grateful to Van Vugt Kruiden for the trust they placed in us."
