US (CA): MedMen gets new headquarters

Marking MedMen's growth in recent years, the cannabis firm has moved its headquarters to a new 12,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art building in Culver City.

The office space was created internally by MedMen's design team led by the Firm's co-founder Andrew Modlin. It sports clear lines, the company's signature red color and open working stations to spur collaboration.

About 80 of the Firm's corporate employees were present during the grand opening in late October. Since early 2016, MedMen has grown from 15 employees to more than 300 people working in 11 facilities in three states.

"This is our epicenter where we can work synergistically," MedMen CEO and Co-Founder Adam Bierman told those gathered. "I'm most excited to take the company to the next level."

Tracing back the company's roots, Bierman shared how a business meeting with a "blue-haired lady" running a tiny medical marijuana dispensary on Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles led to the creation of a cannabis firm with more than $100 million in investment capital deployed and facilities under management from coast-to-coast.

Bierman and Modlin were running a boutique marketing agency when they were hired by the "blue-haired lady." They saw tremendous business opportunity in cannabis, and the rest is history.
