Niagara Falls, October 4&5:

High expectations for '17 Canadian Greenhouse Conference

With a little more than two weeks to go, the Canadian greenhouse industry is gearing up for their annual not-to-miss event in Niagara Falls October 4 & 5. Held for the 38th time, the Canadian Greenhouse Conference will once again draw some of the foremost players in the North American greenhouse industry to the Scotiabank Convention Centre.

If you have not decided if you should attend, here are some reasons why we think that the 2017 edition will be a very important one.

As the development of the greenhouse acreage in Ontario and several northern states of the U.S has seen an impressive hike over the last few years, growers are more than ever interested in enhancing their knowledge on cultivation and technology to built the efficiency of their business.

The growth of the Canadian and U.S. greenhouse industry did not come to a standstill yet. Demand for flowers and especially locally grown produce keeps growing and technology, expertise and supplies are needed to fulfill this demand. The Canadian Greenhouse Conference is one of the few annual shows in North America that allows industries to connect on such a convenient location.

As a result of the increasing demand for labor and the increasing minimum wages, many of the growers are especially looking for automation. Now is the time for growers to invest in machinery, logistics and other technical equipment to overcome the current and future labor crisis.

Next to food and flowers, serious investments in the fast growing legalized marijuana space rely on the advanced technology and expertise from the commercial horticulture industry.

The Canadian Greenhouse Conference speaker program will educate attendees on these hot topics, while the extensive selection of exhibitors offer them all sorts of technology to maximize their efficiency.

Together with plenty of networking opportunities, we expect that many growers will have reason enough to attend the Canadian Greenhouse Conference this year.

If you are not convinced yet if you should join the industry in Niagara Falls, please have a look at the photo recap that we made last year. This will give you an impression of who's exhibiting and attending.

See you in Niagara Falls October 4&5!
