Plant & Food Research has become a member of EuroFIR (the European Food Information Resource), an international association that provies a network for organisations involved with food composition information and data.
As part of EuroFIR, Plant & Food Research will gain access to academics, research organisations and food companies in 27 countries involved in developing new foods and delivering food composition data. This will support the NZ food industry’s use of new food technologies, novel foods, and the development of new foods in New Zealand with recognised composition and scientifically-validated health claims aimed at the European consumer.
